How To Register A Port Number On Netgear Nighthawk

This guide will assistance you Port Forward your Netgear Router. Port forwarding is necessary in order to access your estimator remotely. If you do not port forward your router, you will only be able to access your device on the internal network.

Step i: Login to the Netgear router via the default gateway address.

Step two: Select "Advanced" and so "Port Forwarding/Port Triggering."

Step iii: Select "Add together Custom Service."

Step 4: Enter a Device Name, Starting Port, End Port, and IP Address. Select "TCP/UDP" under Protocol.

You should now be able to connect to your device via a web browser. Simply enter your hostname followed by the port number into the address bar. For instance http://hostname.ddns.net:8000

Please Note: If yous are using a mobile application, you will merely need to utilise your hostname to connect. The application should already specify the port when attempting to make the connection.
